StarCasino to Continue Providing Infotainment Services to AS Roma

StarCasino Sport, a popular sports betting brand in Italy, and AS Roma, a top-flight football club, have extended their partnership for another two years. In the contract extension, the sportsbook will continue providing the club's fans with premium infotainment services for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.

As usual, the new contract clearly delegates specific responsibilities to StarCasino. The sports betting brand will be responsible for distributing interviews with AS Roma players, news, existing articles, and more.

This season, supporters of AS Roma will be allowed to join in on various contests for the opportunity to win special AS Roma-themed rewards, such as prime seats at the Stadio Olimpico and custom jerseys.

It's to be noted that the Italian government recently passed the Tax Delegation Law, seeking to restructure the country's gambling sector with new tax measures. In addition, the law will introduce new player protections to make the industry more transparent and responsible.

As it stands, any form of sports betting advertising throughout Italy is illegal. However, regulated sports betting operators have been pushing the government to reconsider this stance, saying it harms Italian sports. Gabrielle Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), expressed his disappointment, stating that the government's actions have had a negative effect on the entire sports industry.

In September 2022, StarCasino signed a deal with AS Roma to become the club's official sports infotainment partner. Then, in July 2023, the company struck a similar agreement with SSC Napoli, another Serie A club. Both deals don't involve providing sports betting or gambling services.
